Effy: Brought your jumper back...Good to see you Effy?
Freddie: Jesus Christ. Fucking better than that. Oh my god.
-I thought this scene was so cute. The way he's just so speechless looking at her. Awsies. Plus I really enjoyed that hug. I'm a sucker for things like that.
Freddie: The bad memories about me you don't like, you don't feel them anymore?
Effy: No. They're gone. He took them away. But you know what's left? Love. All I feel now for you is love.
-So considering I already knew this was coming this scene was so bitter sweet. I really loved how her ILY wasn't exactly and ILY but more...I don't know I think it meant more this way. Beautiful job with the "we're okay...we're okay." I felt so bad for Effy, as well.
Panda: Omigod it's you! I can't believe it's you! I haven't spoken to you in so long! AHHHH!
Panda: You're mental and I'm useless.
Effy: It's a shame you would've fit right in at Cambridge.
-DUH PANDA/EFFY ARE ADORABLES. Honestly how can you be so cute together? Thank you Skins for giving them like, two scenes this year. diaf. Also that screencap of Naomi was completely appropriate.
Effy: I'm saying goodbye. I have to.
Freddie: To everyone?
...
Effy: Aren't you supposed to be in prison or something?
Cook: Aren't you supposed to be in the looney bin? ... We've got a lot in common, me and you.
Effy: Not anymore.
Cook: Both stuck in the rain. Both miserable.
Effy: You're no good for me Cook. You never were. ... What's that supposed to mean?
Cook: It means I still love you.
Effy: Piss off.
-Jack is so wonderful in this scene. I know I always say such things but the shivering etc really added to how beautiful this scene is. I don't even ship Cook/Effy but I really see why people do after things like this. "I'd do it all again, all of it." was so perfectly delivered.
Effy: Don't do that! I went crazy when I was with you. I can't let that happen again. Love's not supposed to do that! You made me go mad.
Freddie: You're making me mad..now. Effy. And that's exactly what love's supposed to do.
-Freddie's name fading was a+ I loved that part so much. Thank you Skins for...something. Well Freds I'm not sure I agree with you here but, I kind of loved Effy's calming her self and making the bad ~go away~ fucking nut job dr.
Effy: Eff? Who's Eff?
Cook: Yeah of course. You're not Effy. I've mistaken you for someone else.
Effy: Looks like it.
Cook: So what is your name?
Effy: Elizabeth.
Cook: Elizabeth. Nice to meet ya. I'm James.
-Okay so cute. I know I know I DON'T SHIP THEM but this episode was really wonderful for them. I'm glad the CE shippers got this episode because uh...yeah. SPOILERZ aren't favorful for anyone in the EFFY'SENDGAMELOVAH.
Cook: So what're we doing next mystery girl?
Effy: Something bad.
Cook: Come to the right man.
-Well the dancing was a bit misplaced but I get it. I sort of love that she's ~connected~ to Cook still. Makes her forgetting more interesting, I guess. I don't know I really enjoyed their scenes this episode. I think I can easily enjoy them when it isn't just fucking and shit.
Effy: What's happening to me!? .. Hit me again.
Cook: No.
-Okay so this scene..wasn't a big deal to me. I know I know I don't think it's okay to actually ~hit anyone but I really actually got it. If you look at it from Cook as a character's pov, what else would he have really done. Kissing her wasn't him. Grabbing her and shaking her wasn't him, it's how he handles his ~issues~ as we've seen 100 times before so I wasn't bothered. This whole scene with her remembering Tony's accident was pretty amazing. I love how you finally see just how much it fucked with her head (even if we knew that) but really amazing job on Kaya's part. (and Jack's)
Effy: Take me to Freddie, Cook. You need to get me to him. You need to get me there. I need to tell him.
Cook: You remember me, don't ya? You know who I am.
Effy: How could I forget? You're my friend.
-Way to break hearts Effy Stonem. Honestly though, perfection right there. I loved the "you remember me, don't you?" line because it's just so heartbreaking. I don't even know what to say, just...guh.
Freddie: She broke my heart!
Cook: She broke my heart as well. You broke my heart. I bet you've broken her's at some point.
-I loved this. Freddie skipping town gives everyone a legit reason to think he's ~not dead~ but honestly Luke really did a great job in this episode. I think this scene sums up that triangle perfectly. They've all fucked each other over and it's just time for it to be...over. Not with Freddie dying but you get the point.
Freddie: Effy? You all right?
Effy: Back where I was.
Freddie: Yeah. You're back in hospital.
Effy: No. In here. In here, I can hear the voices again.
Freddie: Hey. I'm here.
Effy: I didn't mean what I said to you. I'm so stupid.
Freddie: We're together. Okay? We'll be together.
...
Effy: You deserve better.
Freddie: Shh it's all right, just go to sleep.
Effy: I love you. I love you. I love you. ..love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.
-Okay Luke I give you 1000% props in this scene. That tear just got to me. Fucking christ it was perfect. Why did they have to ruin this with the last three minutes of the episode by having someone brutally murder Freddie? It's so stupid. I can't even...ugh. It hurts because honestly, Effy, Cook, JJ, etcetc are never going to be okay. Effy's on a very thin line and she's nuts enough but this? Christ, she's gonna lose it. Plus way to set up a perfectly depressing finale, again Skins. Ugh fuck you.
...on that note I will be watching season five and six. FML.
