008th Shattering * Action/Audio (forward dated to Monday)

[He felt something was wrong the moment he woke up and Haruki was nowhere to be seen. The guy had a knack for waking up first and lately had kind of gotten the habit of chilling close to Keiichi until he woke up. It was reassuring, to wake up and always see the other around. It made him less scared of Hanyuu going back in a matter of days, because ( Read more... )

[Oh... oh, wow. He was not expecting that at all. The thought of losing their great leader is pretty damned depressing.]

I'll come for sure.

Oh, wow. Seriously? Like, he completely disappeared?

[So she didn't particularly like Haruki, but he wasn't a completely bad guy. And there's so many people counting on him. It's hard to imagine what they'll do without him.]

[You really think anyone would go around making this kind of jokes? Keiichi sighs.]

All his things are gone. He himself is gone. No trace to be found.

He has gone back home.

[Of course not. This's just the first person she's known personally to disappear. It's kind of a lot to take in.]

So I guess everyone has to figure out what to do about the Brigade. I'll definitely be there, though I don't know how much I can help.

[Keiichi has to actually remind himself that you're still kind of new and all, both to Luceti and the brigade... Then again you do have a point and he himself has thought of it, that's why he's reminding everyone to attend the meeting no matter what.

Well, he can still say so much even at this stage.]

Yes, I suppose that will mostly be it for today's meeting. And you can help, this is mostly a personal decision each one has to take, I think.

[A pause.]

Or you could go to the bakery and bring some buns and things sweet to eat. Sugar supposedly helps with depression.

Tonight, at least he was here when I went to sleep.

[But not when he woke up.]

[Winry had waited for Haruki. It was 'Winry Day' after all, and after that big mess of Halloween she was looking forward to spending time with him. But when tardiness turned into absence Winry became worried and opened her journal to contact the boy, but came across Keiichi's entry instead. What did he want?]

I'm by the fountain. What is it?

[The fountain. Good, that's not too far.]

I'll see you there.

[That's all you get for now, Winry. But soon enough you'll see Keiichi approaching you at the fountain. Sorry girl, but he can't bring himself to try to keep a cool face, not that he's crying or anything but... Anyone with eyes can see that something is not right.]

[The blond frowns at her journal when she's cut off. Nothing else to do now but wait with her egg salad sandwich. Fortunately she finishes that off before he arrives. When Keiichi does, she looks at him with concern and confusion.]

Keiichi?

[Keiichi just looks at her... And wishes he could vanish in thin air, or had taken Sokka's offer, or something. But he has to do this. He had to be the one to tell her, right?

But where to start from. How to say it. Straight forward or try to soften the blow? He looks around, in the letters it said that when he confessed he had found her at the lake and hadn't let her go back home, doing so upon returning to the town. Nothing more regarding where but the fountain feels too much of a generic place, too many people going and coming.]

Ne, Winry, come with me for a small walk, yes?

[Wherever they end in he hopes it won't casually be the place where Haruki confessed.]

[Is that ... Keiichi? Hm ... so someone went home, did they? So, why on earth does he sound upset about that? She'd love it if that happened to her! As would Keiichi, I'm sure.

But for right now, a confirmation.]

... Keiichi?

[Takano. He kind of hoped she wouldn't hear him or that if she did she would ignore, but that would be too much to ask for, right? Keiichi takes his sweet time to answer, considering what to do. She arrived not long ago, of course she would answer if she heard a familiar voice talking like that, right? So she's after information? He isn't sure what she would want it for but it may just be regarding himself.

She didn't seem sure if it was him thought, so she really hadn't heard of him before? Sooner or later she would find it out, but for now, he will try to play with that to his advantage.]

Uh? Keiichi? Aw, man, not another one looking for that guy!

[... Are you kidding me. First some girl who looked identical to Rika and now this? ... But this feels different. Much ... much different. Besides, that other girl spoke much differently than the Rika she knows -- Keiichi seems to sound the way he always sounds around his friends. ... Well. From what she's seen, at the very least.]

... Are you trying to play a game with me, Keiichi?

[Yes, he is aware that, unlike Bernkastel he can't give out the vibrations of being a different person. Not entirely at least, but he can still try.

He sighs, partially annoyed and talks mostly to himself, as if not paying mind to Takano's question.]

First the brat with horns and now this. I've no patience for this...

[He looks at Takano's picture with an arched eyebrow and a small frown in his mouth.]

Oi, Miss, if I wanted to play a game with you I would make a better choice, or something. I have no idea who this Keiichi is, other than that you're the second person in the past week to ask about him.

[A small pause.]

Are you his mother or something? You don't seem to be around the brat's age to be a friend.
