[Background]Not much is known about 15-year-old Nagi, but the drama CDs do give some insight on his past. When he was incredibly young (perhaps five or six years old), he killed his mother, and due to the trauma, completely suppressed the memory. He was later in an orphanage, where he grew to trust Sister, the head of the orphanage. There he meets Ken Hidaka, a member of Weiss. He tells Ken to not betray Sister, but of course being on a mission, Ken does it anyway and kills Sister, who was brainwashing orphans and sending them on suicide and murder missions. Nagi, pissed, goes crazy and destroys the orphanage. Crawford, leader of Schwarz (a special division of Eszett/Estet, the fanatical religious group that takes note from transcendentalism), took him in from there, though Nagi was frightened at first. Being betrayed, Nagi harbors a special hatred for Ken and Weiss, but this hatred (nor Sister or the orphanage) is not portrayed in the anime. The anime does portray quick glimpses of Nagi being ridiculed and abandoned as a child, probably just after his forgotten memories of killing his mother. It is also mentioned in the drama CDs that all the members of Schwarz once lived in Rosenkreuz, a facility for the supernaturally gifted.

Schwarz is, naturally, the assassin group Weiss' enemy. Schwarz manipulates the entire story for their own needs under the guise of subordinance. Nagi remained mostly in the background, however, as the other members were more on-field. The other members mostly used him as an errand boy - to either do some photoshopping, hacking, or delivering a message.

Somewhere during his life, he fell in love with a girl named Tot, a member of an all-female group named Shreient. Tot is also young, probably around Nagi's age, but acts much younger. Despite her childish personality, Nagi was drawn to her, emphasizing how "different" she was from everyone else. He met with her several times, whether to warn her of Schwarz's intentions or simply use his powers to entertain her. When Schreient was caught in a crumbling building, Nagi appeared and saved Tot. It isn't clear whether he saved anyone else, but Shreient appears before Weiss yet again in later episodes. During that final confrontation between Shreient and Weiss, Nagi's own teammate, Farfarello, stabbed Tot straight through the chest. Nagi, thinking that he lost her for good, lost control of his emotions and his powers. The building collapsed, but they appear unharmed in later episodes.

In the final battle, Nagi - magically appearing after being attacked by falling debris - uses his mind bullets to toss Omi into a pillar and nearly crush him against it.

[Personality]Nagi is quiet. At first, he seems pretty apathetic and unemotional. In comparison to the other members, he keeps more to himself. He's distrustful and extremely critical toward people due to his upbringing, where, despite killing his mother, in his perspective, society was abandoning him during his time of need as a helpless child. He never outwardly shows his bitterness toward humanity, but it's his purpose for his every action as a member of Schwarz. Of course he doesn't want to protect the innocent (as Weiss does). His intention is to aid Schwarz and creating total chaos within society and watch humanity cave in on itself. Humanity's never been too kind to him, so why should he be kind to society in return?

He's very loyal to Schwarz, as it was the organization to save him from his terrible childhood. It serves as a vehicle for his desires, and he will fight for the other members when necessary (as displayed in the drama CDs, where he risks his life to fight for Farfarello). Schwarz is a group he belongs to when Tot is around, but they're all he has when she isn't around. She's the only person Nagi truly loves, and he will do anything to protect her, even go against Crawford (though he's never taken traitorous actions, he has warned Tot of Schwarz' manipulative intentions, and Crawford was Very Displeased with him). Nagi never shows any reason to sway from his loyalty except to protect her. She's incredibly important to him, though it's not really clear why. It's possible that his attachment to her stems from who she is. She's most likely the only girl to have treated him kindly, and Nagi, so used to humanity's harsh judgment, quickly latched onto that. Whenever Nagi does sway, Crawford often brings up Nagi's upbringing to keep him in line.

Deep down, Nagi's still just a fifteen-year-old boy who has just gone through puberty and faces some of the same challenges normal teenage boys face. When attempting to kiss Tot, he totally screws up and hits her face. He nearly panics, asking if she was all right. As a computer genius, he's mostly very logical, but he can react very illogically and almost childishly to the things that matter most to him (mainly Tot). He's still rather awkward with girls, and he likes to pretend he's much more mature than he really is, when he's really, really not.

Still, despite having been betrayed by society, Nagi believes firmly in sticking close to your friends and fighting for them. Because he's been so alone growing him, when he finally acquires people he can trust and call friends, he will, of course, do anything he can to protect and fight for those people (as demonstrated with Tot). He's also a bit of a romantic - he's rather sensitive to love. In the drama CDs, when we get a closer look at Schwarz, Nagi is the first to support Farfarello and his new love interest, Sally. He claims that Farfarello and Sally are in love, that fighting for love is also right. This all stems from his feelings for Tot. Because Nagi would do anything for Tot, he imagines that love between any other two people is exactly the same.

Again, Nagi does think logically most of the time. He's intelligent and doesn't really involve himself in sticky situations. He's not bloodthirsty like Farfarello, he's not interested in playing mind games like Schuldig, and he certainly doesn't pull the strings like Crawford.

Basically, Nagi appears apathetic, but he is actually incredibly bitter toward humanity. Once he trusts someone, however, he will fight for him or her, because he's always been so alone, such people are rare and valuable to him. Tot is one of the most important people in his life, as he loves her very dearly and is almost a completely different person around her. Because of her, he champions fighting for love. When taken out of his comfortable, secluded settings and thrown before his enemies or humanity in general, Nagi reverts back to his bitter, seemingly apathetic self, all the while suppressing the the child inside him.

[Specialties/Abilities] Nagi is a computer genius, able to hack nearly everything. He is also psychokinetic, an ability that is assumed to be innate, not gained in later years. Normally, his powers are very controlled. He can type and flip light switches using his ability. When his emotions, usually also tame, go wild, he loses control of his powers, and he can easily obliterate buildings in such a state. He can easily create barriers and negate other psychokinetic powers. Also, he can create space rooms. It's not explained, but his personal room is literally a hallway seeming to float in space. The boundaries are clearly marked with dotted lines, but it is unclear how Nagi is able to create the space-like scenery. The usefulness of these rooms are unknown. He probably simply likes them for the solidarity it provides.

Nagi also has an uncomfirmed power - bringing people to life. He touches on it a couple of times, but it is never directly shown in the series. He mentions that bringing people to life would kill him, and it is believed that Tot, who supposedly died after being stabbed through the chest, came back to life. Whether or not he actually can bring people to life is tentative, but the possibility certainly exists.

[Affection] It isn't very advisable to touch/feel/kiss Nagi unless you want a broken arm from either him or Schuldig. He very much likes to keep to himself physically unless you happen to be Tot.

On that note, Nagi is very, very loyal to Tot and Schwarz. However, he's a curious boy, and he won't hesitate to poke around if he doesn't understand something (such as trust, happiness, and friendship). Once he forms an attachment, he's incredibly protective.

But if he doesn't know you- touch him and die.

[Fighting] Nagi's an extremely powerful telekinetic - of course, all powers are dampened for RP purposes. He's not a fight (that sort of thing is for Schuldig and Farfarello), but he's not averse to it, either. You attack him first, and he won't hesitate to retaliate.

Killing him is also acceptable within the right circumstances. Keep in mind, however, that he is a strong boy and quite able to defend himself.

[Other Facts] Nagi truly falls in love rather quickly and trusts a little too easily once he has that inch. He knew Tot for most likely a week and immediately fell in love her (supposedly).

He's not been in Schwarz for very long, either. Back in the orphanage, he had a little cat that followed him around. This is way after he killed his mother, forgot those memories, gallivanted around the orphanage for a number of years, then destroyed that very same orphanage because Ken was a douche. Hell yes.

All he wants is love and chaos.
