When I was in elementary school, I really wanted a retainer for some reason. I also wanted to have to wear a cast of some sort, but I never broke any (of my own) bones

i did that too. i wanted braces for the lonnnnnnngest time while in elementary school because that was the time that all my friends were getting them put on. i thought myself very uncool without. the next time i went to get a checkup at the dentist, i tried my hardest to convince him that i needed braces, but he laughed at me and gave me fake braces to take home. it was not the same and i was bummed.

i used to make a "lip bumper" out of paper clips and wear them during recess. i was what you call fucking awesome.

i remember wanting a retainer badly too
and when i finally did get one, i went full out on the appearance of the plastic part.
i got it green with a dollar sign that glowed in the dark in the middle!!! it was fucking rad. until the day i put it in my napkin, while eating some fries, and than chuncking it in the garbage :\
that was a sad sad day!

my brother had a Retainer when he was in middle school. he had my aunt draw a picture of the Van Halen logo on the cover of 5150 and the dentist printed it onto his upper piece. I'm not really sure why he did that. I mean, would you walk around showing people your mouth? Also, when I was in the 3rd grade, my friend chris fell off the top of the slide and his arm shattered and poked through his skin. It was the most god awful thing I've ever seen. I had to take him to the Nurse and ever since then I've wanted bionic body parts so that I could like, bend steel and throw stuff really far. yeah.
