Poll Tattoos

I'm curious, with all this tattoo pic searches I've been up to I want to know what the general consensus is.

[edit:] Feel free to posts pics, I'd like to see how you express yourself.

I don't have pics but the tats I listed are... right shoulder in a line from neck to shoulder. Dream, heart, butterfly. The shark w/ plumeria is to the right of my spine mid back and I want one more, a shamrock with triquetra's in the leaves... place to be decided.

Piercings: 3 in right ear, 2 in left, 1 navel.

I think I'm gonna call you a rockstar. :-)

Those sound pretty, if you ever get picks up I'd love to see them.

I just have my ears pierced, though I don't wear any earrings. I don't have any earrings that I can wear as I can't wear fake gold/silver or they get infected, hee.

I would probably get a tattoo, but I'm too indecisive to think of something that I would be okay with having on me forever.

I used to have my ears pierced, but I lost an earring and because my ears are so sensitive I just let them close up for later.

"Yes - just my ears" and "No - but I used to" because I used to have my eyebrow pierced, but it migrated right out, and I have yet to get around to getting it redone, so...just ears for the now.

I've heard about them growing out...mine never did that but then again it was my belly and one day I just took it out. I'm thinking about getting my ears done again.

I really like those, are there any special significance? :-)

The first one wasn't really though out, but I gave it a meaning due to the yin-yangness of it - that would be the hubby & me.

2nd one is representative of Christian faith and Celtic heritage... A symbol for The Father, Son, & Holy Spirit - and protection, respectively. I took the design from a necklace with the same variant (trinity). Unfortunately, I should've gotten it shaded with the under & over parts.

Finally, the one on my upper back represents the service me and my family have put into the armed forces, specifically the Air Force. Most people get the newer logo, but I'm in love with the older, more traditional one. It's encased in a circle, but I left that part of it out. :)

I feel like the "I'd never do something like that" sounds a little judgmental so I felt bad choosing it! I used to want a few tattoos when I was in my early 20's, but then I changed my mind. It's not like I'd never do it, because I would if I ever thought of something I'd want on my body forever. Or if I could decide on a good place to put it. Or if I weren't a giant chicken with no tolerance for pain.

This comment is way too long.

You know what? That basically sums up my whole view on tattoos. I'm such a wimp when it comes to pain etc and never really thought about getting one because I couldn't decide on something that I wanted forever.

I just figure if the right thing comes to mind I'll be seriously considering it.
