You dressed up to the best of your abilities, putting on make up and wearing a dress you bought a long time ago for a party and never wore since. You stared at yourself in the mirror, trying to catch your breath as your thoughts went into haywire -

What if he didn’t see you?

Or even worse..

What if he didn’t even remember you?

Overwhelmed by your thoughts, you swallowed hard and then jumped as the doorbell rang. Glancing at the mirror again, you patted down the front of your dress and bit your lip, shaking out your hair a bit before grabbing your purse and running down the stairs to open the door for your friend.

Opening the door, you smiled brightly at Young Su. He blinked for a moment, not reacting at all and simply staring at you.

“Wow.. Sophia, you look..”

You felt your cheeks heat up slightly at the way his eyes dragged over you before flickering back up to your face. And then you noticed a slight tinge to his cheeks.

“Is it too much..?” You asked slowly, hesitantly, reaching up to touch your hair.

Young Su shook his head quickly, breaking out into a grin.

“You look really pretty.” He said softly, staring at you. Looking away quickly, you turned around and closed the door behind you, biting your lip.

“Ah, thank you..” You turned back to face him, glancing down at the hand he held out for you to take. Suddenly feeling a bit ahead of yourself, you simply shifted your purse into your other hand and went down the steps, pretending not to have noticed.

“You’ll be driving us, neh?” You asked, realizing that the fact that you got all dressed up and excited must’ve given your guy friend the wrong impression.

It took a moment for him to reply, and then you heard his footsteps, quick to catch up with you before hurrying ahead to open the door for you.

“Yeah, yeah! Don’t worry, I got a lot better than before.” He said, and you simply smiled, getting into the passenger’s seat and watching as he got into the driver’s seat. He started it up and looked at you again. “You look really nice.”

You laughed and playfully smacked his arm. “Stop that, or I’ll think you’re hitting on me or something.”

You had hoped, by saying that, to dissolve the almost awkward atmosphere hovering over the both of you, but for some reason it just served to thicken it. Almost immediately after the words left your lips, your cheeks heated up again.

Young Su was blushing too, and as he started driving down the road, you determinedly stared out the window. You let your thoughts wander, and as always, they landed right where they usually were.

Kwon Jiyong.

---

You fidgeted with your hands the entire time in the line to enter, all the while completely aware of the fact that Young Su stood just a little more closer to you than he usually did.

Halfway here you realized that he probably thought this was some kind of date.

If only he knew. You wanted to laugh, but part of you just really didn’t want to think about anything other than the fact that soon, you’d be in the same building as Kwon Jiyong, and maybe, just maybe, he’d look at you and smile and it’d give you enough energy to get past the next couple days.

You didn’t even want to hope that he’d say hi or something because - because you’d mentally prepared yourself on the ride here that…that he probably forgot all about you.

He probably didn’t even remember your name.

And then it was your turn to enter the stadium and you were kind of grateful for Young Su taking your hand in his because your knees were week and you needed something to hold onto.

You walked in after him, eyes riveted on the stage even though you knew he wouldn’t be there for another hour or so. You bit your lip as Young Su absently led you towards your seats and you felt your breath catch in your throat as you realized just how close to the stage you were.

He might actually even be able to spot you from here. As Young Su sat down, letting go of your hand, you sat down next to him and felt your eyes burning.

Voice shaking, you glanced over at your friend.

“Th-Thank you so much.”

He shook his head, looking a bit confused.

“No, thanks for coming along. I was starting to worry about you.” You tuned out whatever else he was saying, turning your attention back to the stage and focusing.

Focusing because it felt like every single moment since you last saw Jiyong, not G-Dragon, had been clicking down, down to this single moment where you would know if that day actually happened, and if he actually remembered you.

If you even crossed his mind the moment after he left.

Young Su was talking about something or another next to you, but you weren’t paying any attention anymore, simply waiting for the lights to dim and when the lights turned off, you felt a hot tear slip down your cheek.

You swallowed hard, as the lights came on, and even Young Su stopped talking.

And then everyone cheered, and your heart caught in your throat as you jumped to your feet, clapping loudly.

G-Dragon was waving, Kwon Jiyong, as he stepped out onto the stage, followed by the rest of his members, and you only had eyes for him.
