"I'm Sorry. I didn't think that's what they meant when they sent us the invites." Kirk tried to explain as they left the theater. They had lasted all of the opening number before Jim burst into laughter and Spock was radiating rage.
"Nor did I." Spock replied.
The invite had read:
Come join us on a night you'll never forget to remember the Battle of Nero. It will be told in a way never seen before.
Jim thought that meant new accounts of that terrible day were going to be read. But a Musical telling of genocide and destruction was never a good idea

I admit it I laughed a little at thought of a musical version of the Nero incident. However, I loved the thought of people celebrating gay marriage centuries away from now.
