The hall was already filled with guests and Chloe was texting her impatiently. Lana checked her hair and make up in the mirror one last time and smiled at her reflection. She wished her parents could be here to give their blessing and this time she was certain they would.

They'd promised no comparisons but it was inevitable. She'd been married to the President and the Vice President of the United States. Chloe had married the Green Arrow. They'd both been in love with Superman. Anyway you looked at it their romantic history was the stuff of legend. Only legends aren't meant for real life.

There were no butterflies, no last minute doubts as she walked down the aisle, only a complete and sure certainty that spending the rest of her life with her best friend was the most exciting thing she would ever do.

Anyway you looked at it their romantic history was the stuff of legend. Only legends aren't meant for real life.
I really like that line.

And I love how certain they were. Even Lana thinking of how her parents would approve was sweet. Thanks so much for filling my prompt! :D

thank you! I'm glad you liked it. Sorry it's so short but I've been out of SV for years--Chloe/Lana was always a favorite though.

Oh, I like this! The ladies certainly had their exalted romantic histories, but sometimes marrying your best friend is the way to go. :)
