Could you just do the surrounding states, and then maybe also a national website that links through (After you write the html) to the other sites?

I suspect there are domain name prospectors that look for domain names that are already being used, and if they detect a pattern, might try to purchase sites they think other people will want. Not positive about that, but I do find that when I troll my ancient bookmarks I seem to find lots of sites that used to have real content a few years back and now just have some lame-0 prospector on them.

Still in any case congrats! Glad to hear things are getting off the ground.
