I can't believe it's almost Christmas and that I'm 18 wtf when did that happen? Thank you once again everyone for the birthday wishes and the little gifts. You're all amazing! Finals this week and then I'm free. I need to ace most of my finals to pull off a B in a few classes though. That kind of blows. I wish I could buckle down and focus but ( Read more... )

Lol I love the presents everyone gives Tara. Like Dawn getting her a broom. So cute.

The whole Summers blood thing is that the monks used Buffy's blood to create Dawn. Not sure where they got a hold of it, but that's why she and Buffy are ~connected~ And why she was able to die instead of Dawn in The Gift. I don't know if you wanted an explanation, but there you go, lmao.

Oh, and Sandy the vampire was also in "Dopplegangland"! Vamp!Willow hit on her, bit her, and I assume she was sired in that episode.

lol yes, Giles' face is so cute when Tara opens the crystal ball :3

Oh so that's what she means when Buffy says "the monks made her out of me." They obtained her blood and created Dawn from it. I wonder how that process took place. I'm thinking wayyyy too much into this.

I thought she looked familiar! Thank you :)

No worries, I never liked Riley either.

I know some people are fond of Riley (for whatever reason) so that's why I put the disclaimer. People can get intense on here if you say the wrong thing about a character they tend to like.

I'm glad you don't though ;)

The Dawn thing was very confusing at first, but makes a sort of sense once you finally grasp it. I still think it was a very weird storyline. They did do a good job of at least explaining the hows and whys of her being created I guess

I hated the storyline at first because I seriously did not understand it at all but yes I agree that they did a good job of explaining it.

And people tell me re-watching is a waste of time who says that? That would make my whole TV on DVD collection (of like 25 shows) completely useless...and it's not... :)

I love Willow with Oz and with Tara...I can't pick... I didn't love Tara the first time I watched season 4 but by the time I got about halfway through season 5 I realized how freaking cute they are...just in time for season 6 to rip my heart out :'(

I like the beginnings of the Spuffy :) Poor pouty, sorta pathetic Spike...

And I completely agree about Riley... Most of my friends don't get why I find him so annoying during season 5, but I know from experience how rough it is to deal with trying to help a sick/dying parent...and I know I handled it pretty much like Buffy - I'd rather be alone so Riley's clinging and making it about him and her not letting him help was annoying the crap out of me the whole season!

Love your commentary :)

Well I'm an obsessive tv re-watcher. I watch things until I can memorize most of the dialogue and remember insignificant details. That's why most of my friends harp on me.

Yeah Tara was pretty unwelcome in season 4 to me. Oz just left and I felt like it was too soon but she has grown on me. The end of season 6 was awful for her, just awful.

YES, EXACTLY. Poor Buffy was trying to take care of her mom and protect Dawn instantaneously. She didn't have enough time to worry about Riley's feelings as well. If he really loved her he would have accepted that and kept his mouth shut until she had everything together again.

Thank you :D

I do the same thing... my dad barely even watches a movie more than once so TV on DVD seems like a complete waste to him... but it's totally not... :)

I agree - I still can't watch New Moon Rising without crying... :( to say nothing of Seeing Red - the last twenty minutes of that episode are the worst!

That's how I feel about the whole situation! My friends say that I'm just being unsympathetic, but I'm completely sympathetic with Buffy and I know exactly how she feels in that situation - I know Riley is just trying to help, but at times like that, the last thing you want is someone hanging around, even if they are trying to help...there's nothing anyone can say or do that makes you feel better (or at least that's the way it was for me)...it seems to me like a lot of his 'trying to help' was trying to make himself feel needed/wanted by Buffy - which at that time he wasn't...

Or maybe I'm just cynical and think WAY too much about this show...

I cry both times Oz leaves, ngl

Nope you aren't imo because I feel the same way about that situation. I don't think that's being unsympathetic at all.

Did they ever fully explain what demon Tara was? I can't remember...

She wasn't a demon. Spike's chip activated when he punched her in the nose which means she had no demon in her. Her family made up the whole "women are demons when they turn 20" to keep the women in the family under check or something. They didn't really explain that enough.
