I got an e-mail from Peter saying he talked to his sisters and his nephew's gf hasn't moved out yet and so, they can't house me.

i apologize if this looks like i'm stalking you in your personal lj. Just wanted to share more details about the room/house. The room is a really good size, the location really can't be beat. We live a block down pearl st, from mass ave, basically, a block away from a lot of restaurants, stores, bars, and public transit. There are a total of 6 of us in the house (we all have our own rooms), so it's a big house. I know that sounds like a lot of people, but they're all super nice and chill. I'm a recent MIT graduate, your housemates would be mostly MIT alums as well. You'd share a bathroom with one other person (oh yeah, the house has 3 bathrooms), and you'd also have a little kitchenette on the second floor (the room's on the second floor). This is in addition to an enmormous basement kitchen ( ... )

It's a bit out of my price range. Thanks, though.

I could probably swing about 500/month if whoever had no problem with me renting two months June 25 to Aug 25. This totally caught me off guard, and I'm still crossing fingers and toes that a friend or a friend of a friend goes 'you can sleep on my couch for $50 a week'

Hey - I asked around and came back with something right away (quoted below). It's in Somerville, near Davis square (red line) and Ball square. I've seen the house and it's a nice street within walking distance to the T and to the div school too, if you're willing to walk a little more. Or a quick bike ride. The woman who's subletting it is great. I can get more info if you want. see below for response I got:

"Mary and I are moving in together this month and she has a bedroom
she's trying to sublet for $500 a month from now until the lease
expires August 31st. It's a nice place."

Have you considered "other methods of persuasion" on Peter's family?

I'm glad to know I can still be as helpful as ever.
