There's no "simple" or "easy" way to deal with cancer of any kind. I've lost every family member I have to cancer. Continuous exposure doesn't help. There's no quick-and-easy balm.

Not having more information about the current findings, I'm not going to be of much help, but I can answer the question about metastasis (the spreading).

Prostate cancer can either be primary or secondary. If it's primary - meaning it's the only form of cancer - and they've caught it fairly early, then there's not much worry - it's localised, it's operable, and fairly well treatable. The further along the disease gets, of course, the harder it is to control, but if they've caught it early, as you said it was, it's good ( ... )

Well he went in because he was short of breath so they ran all these tests and ended up that his PSA levels were high. So the dr did a physical exam and felt nothing but went ahead and did a biopsy so he could test for sure. It came back cancerous. So it is very early. I am hoping this is all it is so they can treat it.
I only cried when he told me. Otherwise we talk after his appts and he fills me in and then i ask about his wife and grandkid (he raises my horrible step sisters kid) and we laugh about stuff she does (she is 6) and then talk a little about football.
I am trying to be positive and there for him. I am an only child, so i don't really have any one to share this with. I despise my step sister, so it is Lee that is listening to alot, which he doesn't mind.
Thanks for being here for me.
