bracing for impact

So , what kind of firestorm are we facing if it turns out the vote results do change?

ETA:  I don't actually expect it will, but...strong feelings on either side, at least for a core group, a close margin, and results up with the polls still open for another two or three hours? Oy.  My heart dropped into my stomach.

Heh. It was a whole lot of nothing, really. But I think those of us in this country are quick to go to worst-case-scenario mode when voting shenanigans crop up.

I saw all that, and backed right the hell out of that thread, because it would be so easy to have an anticipatory argument there about something that doesn't end up being an issue.

If it had been an issue, I don't know what we would have done. Thank goodness it was Nilly who counted and posted early. She's trusted and beloved enought that she might be the only Buffista (or one of a few) who wouldn't be used for target practice, had the whole thing ended up going pear-shaped.
