Lucy in the tank

So today's the day.  Lucy's right hind leg has been fixed and is getting stronger, and the left hind leg comes off this afternoon.  From all I've been able to learn, this will certainly require some adjustment, but she should be raring to go within a couple of weeks, and will be cancer and pain free ( Read more... )

He's doing as well as can be expected. I mean, his belly is constantly swollen, he has the worst gas *ever*, and his hind leg muscles are slowly deteriorating, but he's still happy and able to live a relatively normal (older) dog life. I wish he were healthier but I'm thankful for the health that he has. I guess that's the most important thing.

So many hugs for you and Lucy. Bailey had 'elbow' surgery on his front right leg when he was maybe 3 or 4 years and it felt like it took forever for him to heal. I can't even imagine what you and Lu are going through. If there's anything I can do from here, don't even hesitate to ask.
