I am outraged by much of what Bush does, and does NOT do. Sadly, though, I am no longer shocked by it. I think so far the thing I have been most angry was his handling of Katrina. Our own country looked like a third world country. Our people were suffering and dying, while he did nothing. I am sorry, but sitting around doing nothing, aside from sending our men and women to die in a country that wants us to leave, trying to impose OUR way of government on this country...I have absolutely no respect left for the man, I honestly don't. In fact, I am tired of republicans in general, well, the ones in Washington. Thankfully it's an election year, and maybe we canget them out of office. SOrry, I went off on a bit of a rant in your journal. :P I did not mean to. I will stop.
What exactly would you have the President do? Send in the military? How is that any different from Iraq? If we forcibly intervene to solve Africa's problems, is that any better than colonialism?
I don't really wish to debate the matter much, but, I would have to say that IMO, the people of Darfur need us (and would probably most definitely welcome us) a lot more that the Iraquis right now. Iraq doesn't even want us there anymore and yet we're still there.
