- It's possible our system was struck by lightning while we were away, which messed up the phones and thus connections (but fortunately not the PCs). Apparently we're aren't alone in the area to have had Strange Things with connections

Ain't it a cry-and-shame that you have to come home to Chaos when you've spent the past two weeks dealing with exactly that in the verbal battlefields?? These Universes have odd ways of 'rewarding' our efforts, don't they!

I hope lavish applications of tisanes, boosted by moderate doses of rum or brandy for anaesthetic effect, will ease your cough and mellow your life for a while. Since Sir apparently presented you with the virus, I urge passing it back to its rightful owner with all ceremony and finality and withdrawing from the conjugal bedroom for a few days to make the recovery easier on you.

Of course, if Junior is currently in residence, that might mean _she'd_ have to go sleep on the couch in the lounge or some such arrangement.... Sturm und Drang from that quarter, no doubt, but after all, who _owns_ the joint???
