Was just packing for a couple of nights in Lyon. Not a major operation, but when checking I had my passport, I found...

... a packet of seeds neatly inserted in it. I'd looked everywhere for them too. Even thought I'd forgotten the tarragon and bought another packet. Heh ( Read more... )

My main problem isn't singing along - it's dancing along.

It can get very embarrassing.

I can see it now: SHOCK HORROR. Woman caught singing *and dancing* on Swiss Train. Sorry - *foreign* woman.

The French might be better... although they don't allow people to talk on mobile phones in the carriages any more. There are signs up all over with 'sleeping cellphones' (with smiley cellphones at the entrance and in the bar).

The only trick I've ever found for not singing along ... is not to have music*. Which is unthinkable. So everyone else can just suffer, so there nyaah!

Hope you had a pleasantly musical (and minimally Swiss-disapprovally) journey!

*Or have music like, say, most of Enya's stuff, which is sufficiently incomprehensible to limit the singing-along time. Then I just hum instead. Or conduct ...
