You can move up here to connecticut where I am. It was 56 degrees this morning.

Well, see, that's the weird thing about living in a desert. It's COLD at night. Unfortunately that cold doesn't stay put once the sun comes up.

Yeah. We have A/C (as in the costco window-insert kind) in two rooms, but if you use it too much it shorts out the power. Plus it doesn't seem to cool more than a five foot radius. LAME. :(

Blech! What happened? Did your AC go out?

This Seattle summer has been fairly cool. Mostly 50s in the mornings, low 70s during the day. I've barely worn any of my thin cotton summer skirts.

Naw, We only have silly little window ac units, and they don't cool all that well. Plus this apartment LOVES to keep its temp. the same. When it's cold, it stays cold, and when it's hot, it roasts. No amount of opening windows seems to help. Weird old building.

Mmm. Seattle would be loverly.

Move back here! It's been damn near cool today! (okay, not quite, but it was about 68 when I walked Daisy this morning and MAN it was nice. )

There's one reason and one reason alone I won't move back to Texas.

These things.

Oooooh, then maybe Seattle wouldn't be for you. I've found it's home to some Big Ass Spiders. Apparently they aren't poisonous, and are even beneficial to have in the garden, but it still creeps me out to walk into my bedroom and find a 3"x3" spider hanging out on the wall...

And their webs are EVERYwhere...

Ok, that's a good thing to know. You're right, that would NOT be for me.

I'm going to second (or third!) just a slight transition up the West Coast ;)....

When I visited San Francisco in late July/early August last year I had to buy a hoodie :). I needed one most days in early August in Portland too!
