A couple weeks ago I found my Jimi Hendrix - The Ultimate Experience cd. I lost it over a year ago and the whole fucking time it was in one of the double jewel cases in my Iron Maiden box set. It's a mildly little-known fact that Dick Dale was a huge inspiration on young Jimi Hendrix, which might be why Hendrix also used the upside-down Fender Strat. Except Hendrix didn't use fucking .060 gauge strings! Hendrix said the line "You’ll never hear surf music again" on Third Stone from the Sun as a tribute to Dick Dale, who was ill with cancer at the time.
