I'm a little surprised you didn't mention the slogan over the gates to the pig's farm: "ARBEIT MACHT FREI."

"Work will set you free," is the translation, but of course, that phrase is more familiar to most of us as the slogan over the gates of the Nazi concentration camps.

I have NO idea why he would even put that in. It seems to be a condemnation of his hero. The more I see of this, the more I feel compelled to differ from your interpretation and look on it as a simple case of bad storytelling.

It's good to know, Brer, that you at least think we're all differently deranged. :D

I can see how this works as an allegory for how paranoid right-wing folks see the world-- as uniformly and perpetually out to get them, even when doing so violates rationality.

I'd like to know why the alpha drugfox, whom I shall henceforth refer to as Lars, is both a drugged-up hippie and a real estate developer.

I'm also disappointed at how unappealing those anthro fox boobies were, given how much R&D the fandom has invested in this field. Talk about not doing your research!
