I was working on 'Savarna' (sequel to 'The Flying Dutchman', just in case you were wondering), and it made me thing about some writery type things. Urgh... I'm so tired... haven't written in two days, either. Must do that. Thanks for the comments, and I'll respond to your reviews either tomorrow or Monday. I about fell over laughing when I saw that icon. I had to use it, even though it's not one of Jack's better moments (ya know - cuz he's normally so mature ( ... )

I don't think your exposition is distracting at all. I LOVED TFD and eagerly wait for each chapter of Savarna. I don't post my fic but I am a writer as well. I don't have an lj account, or this would not be anonymous. Especially where Teague is concerned, it was info the reader needed, and Jack commented on the long talking spell, so it didn't interrupt the flow of the piece. I think you're a swell writer. Keep it up! (and please update Savarna! I want to get to Lizzie!) thanks for writing- Laura

Thanks so much for your comment! I'm glad you don't think I'm too heavy with the exposition. Ultimately I'm trying to learn how to write better as I go, so I really appreciate hearing from others, especially another writer, about the things I worry about. Teague was my biggest worry, but I did try and cover my ass by having Jack make that comment, and I really wanted to get that information in there. I can be very hard on myself, especially when it's something I care so much about, like my writing. It means so much to hear that you're enjoying it. I'm working on the next chapter of Savarna now, and I hope to have it up tomorrow. A bunch of stuff came up this week and has slowed me down a bit, but we get to Elizabeth in this chapter, so I hope you'll enjoy it!
