- La faute à fidel / Blame it on Fidel : This is a wonderful movie, very moving and intelligent, and with a young girl whose performance is absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommended ! I didn't know a lot of things about the political regime in Chile and Allende's story before seeing this movie, and the first thing I did when I came back home was to take a dictionnary to know more about this period of history. I love when a movie makes you learn new things like this.

- Je vais bien ne t'en fais pas : Another brilliant french movie. Sad one, though. The end is amazing, completely unpredictable. Again an intelligent movie, with a very difficult subject. The actors are good, especially Melanie Laurent, who plays the daughter, and Kad Merat, who plays the dad. A bonus point for the song Lili, by U-turn !

-La môme : Seems like there are more good french movies than I thought ! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING/WONDERFUL/GORGEOUS !!! I looooved this movie so much, it made me cry three times ! You must see it ! Even if you're not a big fan of Edith Piaf's songs, you have to see it, because the woman who plays Edith Piaf is incredible ! She is Edith, her face, the way she moves or talks, it's simply brilliant. I really really hope Marion Cotillard receives a lot of prizes for this role because she truly deserves them !

- The painted Veil : beautiful love story. It reminded me of movies like 'The English Patient' or 'The Piano'. I loved Edward Norton and Naomi Watts ! I should read the book one day, I'm pretty sure I'd love it !

-Blood Diamond : I didn't think I would like this movie at the beginning, but the truth is, I liked it a lot. It's not an 'easy' movie, it's not something you can watch while doing the laundry or working on your homework. The story is very strong, and I felt a lot of different emotions while watching it : anger, sadness, revolt, fear, hope... The story of Blood Diamond reminded me of 'the Constant Gardener', which I really liked too. It's definitly not the kind of movies you can forget that easily once you've seen it.

- Before Sunrise and Before Sunset : Love at first sight ! I have some friends who didn't like this movie because they said nothing really happened, it was just two people, talking together for two hours. I disagree. I really enjoyed watching this movie, I think it's very profound and intelligent. Everything makes perfect sense, and I was never bored by the charcaters' discussions. Plus I think it's a beautiful love story ! I wish I'd live that kind of thing, you know, meet someone that you could talk to for hours and hours, who would share your ideas and listen to you... I'm a romantic girl!

-Becoming Jane, Pride and Prejudice (1995), Sense & sensibility, Mansfield Park, Emma and Persuasion (2007) : I think everybody's aware of my passion for Jane Austen books now ! I discovered her novels a few months ago and I fell in love with them immediatly! I've now seen all the movies and read two books, and I highly recommend them if you're a romantic like me ! These a THE kind of love story every romantic girl dreams of, with a perfect hero who is madly in love with the heroin and sees nobody but her, although he pretends not to love her at the beginning. Classic, but so beautiful. My heart melts each time I watch the movies ! My favourite ? Pride & Prejudice!

And just for the fun, my favourites cheesy movies were :
-Chasing Liberty
-Wimbledon
-Sweet home Alabama
-10 things I hate about you
-Whatever it takes
-Griffin & Phoenix
-Music from another room
-Jersey girl
-Kate & Leopold

If there is a movie you really liked this year and you'd like to share with me, feel free to give me the title! I'm a movie!whore and I always like to discover new things ! I think you may have an idea of what kind of movies I like to see now !!
