You should make it a point to carry an apple or a banana at all times. Also, can't you drink milk or soymilk? Remember those options when caught in a bind in the future. I am sincerely glad that you've been properly diagnosed with Celiac's disease. It seems to account for many of your health problems. I'm sure that it not only will help you feel better physically now that you know how to handle things, but also mentally knowing now that these things were not in your head. There was nothing "wrong" with you, you just had different needs that were not met. I wish you the best!!

Wow, you are completely right about the milk; I didn't even think of that. I was having a hard time thinking clearly; the crash hit my head twice as hard as my body. I asked my doctor about this, and he says that at a lower body weight (I'm now in the 150s, I was nearly 200 in August) I just have a much lower margin of error when it comes to staying hydrated, fed, etc. I did get a bottle of water and a bag of chips, which helped some ( ... )
