Naked people have little or no influence on society.

A few things before bed. I just started and finished a great, interesting book, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. It's the story of a timid, odd kid's first year of high school, and it's full of all the angsty things which come with that territory; quite literally: sex, drugs and rock and roll . . . and suicide and abortion. All the good stuff. ( Read more... )

stuff.

First off, Mark Twain? What?!? How??

Secondly, I want to see Once, so if/when it comes here I'm so in. Unless I'm on duty.

Have no fear, it's just some guy in a bad wig sitting in a rocking chair. But still funny nonetheless.

I bought the soundtrack today. Just because I really liked one song I heard on TV. I'm such a sucker.

He did! First they showed a montage of him writing some entries, then he busted out the actual journal and read a few more. Quite funny.

also, I don't think either of those books count at YA, interestingly enough. I know in our library they're not.

I found the Perks of Being a Wallflower incredibly engrossing. I couldn't set put it down and I don't know if I'd be able to handle reading it again...

I believe only the Curious Incident is in the YA section here in San Juan . . . but then again, this library is crap.

And, yes, I read it in two sittings over two days. It was so much better than I thought it would be. Just another example of how it pays to have low expectations of things.

It is indeed the upside down poodle book. That poodle isn't as nice, however, as the one in Steve's picture.

He comes from my long-held pride in growing up in the Greater Lansing Area. And because I couldn't find an acceptable poodle picture until just now.
