i've read two books in the last few days. night, elie weisel's memoir of his family's time spent in concentration camps during world war ii, and the curious incident of the dog in the night-time by mark haddon, is a murder-mysteryesque family drama told through the point of view of a 15-year-old autistic child. both are excellent reads that

Miami Vice looks so dumb. I mean, if you're going to make a movie of a cheesy 80s tv show, at least keep it cheesy. If you're going to completely change the tone and ideas of the plot, it seems cheap to use the brand name that everyone knows. I may even have watched it if it was like the old show.

Movies lately are starting to make me nauseous.

i've never seen the tv show, so it wasn't on my list to check out, but it could have been saved with a few pastel shirts.

i know, it seems to me that even though the 'big' summer movies are doing well, they are disappointing. with the exception of pirates 2, of course.
