Have you seen the South Park movie? That's pretty much the whole theme, how idiotic it is that censors and the MPAA freak out over language and sex, but violence is a-ok. I forget the exact quote, but there's a part in there where one of the moms says something to the effect of "Violence and death are all right, as long as nobody says any dirty words."
