Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Nill is about 5’4” in height and weighs about a hundred pounds. She is a very slender girl all over, really.
2. How old is she? She is between fifteen and sixteen years old.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch? She carries herself very well, actually. She stands and walks very straight, and has very good overall balance.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? I would say she is very healthy-or at least, she is now that she’s not on the streets anymore. She might look a little on the thin side, but that’s just how her body is. The only disability she has is muteness.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? She’s pretty graceful! Her wings give her an extra edge on balance, and she’s just a fluid mover all around.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror? Well, she looks like a teenage girl, but I’d say she’s pretty attractive. She never thinks of herself that way, though. She’d probably actually prefer not to.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? She has very pale, clear skin. She has no visible scars.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style. Her hair is a very light blonde, long, and straight. She has straight bangs across her forehead. Usually, she’ll wear her hair down with a bow in it (it reaches down to her mid-back), but she can have it in pigtails and even curled. It all depends on how Bishop she herself that day.
9. What color are her eyes? Nill has very large, very bright blue eyes.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? A small pair of white-feathered wings protrude from her back. They are too small to allow flight.
11. What are her chief tension centers? Her... shoulders.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit? First, we’ll go with what she wishes her wardrobe was like: plain, black and white dresses would be just dandy. But what it really consists of is tons and tons of loli-esque dresses, in all colors. Frills and bloomers, ahoy! Also, high-heeled or platform shoes.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them? Her clothes do fit her well, but she would really prefer to have a simpler wardrobe.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences? She doesn’t have a job, so yes, she dresses the same all the time.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? BLOOMERS.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? None of the above-she cannot talk.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate? No speaking here.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Still no talking.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency? I’d assume English, if she could talk.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations? No, because she can’t talk.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words? No clue, since she can’t speak.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? I gues inarticulate, since she has no voice.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart? She has never had any formal schooling, but she does know how to read and write thanks to tutoring from Bishop and some other parties. But she’s pretty innocent about... everything street-wise, so.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate? I feel like she’s the kind of person who likes to think about what she does before she does it.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? She is a logical person, but she does listen to her emotions (and the emotions of others) often.
4. What kind of education has the character had? Homeschooling, and tutoring. She’s never been to any formal kind of school.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about? She doesn’t really have any “areas of expertise.” But she would really, really like to learn to sew better. Heine and Badou have so many holes in their clothing.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert? Introvert.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? She is very, very even-tempered. She has kind of a melancholy air about her, but she isn’t so sad anymore. Overall, she’s pretty laid-back.
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? She’s pretty timid in general, but if it’s a man, she’s definitely suspicious. She’s trying to be more open, though.
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react? React.
10. Which is her default: fight or flight? Flight.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? She does appreciate jokes, but just simple, nice ones.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them? She has a mild fear of men, but it isn’t a real disorder.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person? Heine saving her from prostitution, Bishop dressing her up in a loli-dress for the first time, Naoto saving her from thugs, Badou saving her from getting hit by a car.
14. What does she fear? Losing Heine, losing Badou, losing Naoto, losing Bishop, most men, being on the streets again.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations? On day she hopes she can sew like Badou.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her? That she doesn’t remember anything about her past and that she was almost a prostitute.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents. Nill has no parents that she remembers.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? No.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand? No.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them? Heine: He is her savior and an older brother-figure. Naoto: Her big sister-figure. Badou: Kind of that cousin that hangs around all the time and you love even though he’s kind of an oddball. Bishop: That creepy uncle.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Heine. She met him when he saved her from a prostitution ring.
6. Does she have other close friends? See question #4.
7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people? She doesn’t have trouble getting along, she just has suspicions about almost everybody.
8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends? Friends, since she has no blood family.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once? Single.
10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? No.
11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest? Heine...? I don’t know, she loves him, but not in an “oh I want to be with you forever” way. It’s more of a “hey you saved my life and now I’m in your debt forever” kind of love.
12. What does she look for in a romantic partner? Someone who won’t hit her, and someone who will protect her.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any? No.
14. Does she have any rivals or enemies? She doesn’t like Doctor Einstürzen or Giovanni at all.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale? Well, since she has such issues with men, I feel like she might trust a woman more, but she’s only like fifteen so I dunno. At this point, I’d have to say Heine-sexual about a three, because she’s just. Undecided.
16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her? Honestly, she’s probably very frightened of the idea of sex because of her past. It isn’t very important to her.
17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? N/A.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type? I honestly have no idea.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life? I feel like she’s spiritual by virtue of... living in a Church. Bishop is a priest, after all, so it’s kind of his job to preach to people who are there.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? I’m sure she has ethics, but as to what they are, I don’t really know.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? She’s pretty tolerant, I’d say.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational, or does she have a good reason for them? She’s prejudiced against scientists who alter children’s bodies to please other people. I feel like that’s rational.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? At the moment, she is comfortable. She doesn’t have a lot, but she doesn’t need a lot either.
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her? She isn’t a complete social butterfly, but she isn’t like at the bottom of society.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others? She lives in an apartment with Danny Rand and Luke Cage. It’s pretty nice, and she stays there almost all the time.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on? Things with which she can bake.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else? She... has no job.
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time? Sewing, baking, worrying.
7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? She eats like a bid (no pun intended). It doesn’t take much to fill her up, and she isn’t a super-picky eater.
