Mom had to get her gallbladder removed yesterday. A few weeks ago she was "sick" pretty badly and they determined it was an infected gall stone. So she went in yesterday. They managed to do a laproscopic surgery, but it was fairly hairy as her gallbladder was severely inflamed (enough they were surprised she was still walking around functional).

Ugh ... as a gallbladder laparoscopy survivor myself, please give her my best. Once the soreness goes away it will probably take up to six months for her to learn which foods to steer clear of and modify her diet accordingly.
