If we do that, I have a feeling my mind will change and we might do the big wedding later on. But right now, it just seems pointless. Then again I am living with the college mindset and am very careful with my money lol
we are going to be paying for part of it. our families will be helping out but we don't want to see them spend it that way. most of the stuff though is coming from costco and the dollar tree which saves quite a bit. the way i see it, why pay more for an item when you can buy it at the dollar tree for quite a bit cheaper. that's my defense for the dollar tree lol
We planned/executed our wedding in 2 weeks because we had the same problem you did. Why couldn't you get married now and honeymoon later? We took ours a year later after his tour in Iraq. The courthouse may seem like the best option, and a lot of people do it, but you have to think about YOU. Will you regret getting married there and not having a bigger wedding? Will you regret not having the fun of planning a bridal party and getting to walk down the aisle with your family there?
As far as planning, we have it mostly done to the point of making things happen within a week if needed. I have a feeling I would regret not having the whole wedding madness and walking down the aisle. That's what's keeping me from doing that right now. With how our schedules are working out, the honeymoon will have to wait, that's alright though
