Did that book ever explain what happened to all the cats? Did I miss a section? It seemed like they were building up to something horrible in the present day sections, and then, nothing.

I got to feeling pretty sorry for Johnny Truant by the finish - I still hated the endless sex stories and Vonnegut ramblings, though. (Yes! Vonnegut's On The Road, that's what he reminds me of. I spent ages trying to remember what. I hated On The Road, too.)
