Stuck in New York (for a while)

I'm on vacation this week, but due to financial reasons we're not really doing much of anything. This is kind of an "extra" week because it's the first year I have 3 weeks paid vacation (just hit 5 years with my employer).

Yesterday we decided to go to the Palisdes Center in West Nyack, NY. I'd driven by it before but never had the chance to stop

I drive by the Palisades Center every time I visit my friends in Jersey. In fact, since I'm usually driving by it on Friday night, I usually stare at it for at least 5 minutes.

In the middle of the mall there are neon signs hanging from large steel towers that tell you what stores are there, and there are a couple of Pepsi logos that look just like Gordon balls.

Even though they would make great souvenirs, we didn't want to climb the large erections to try to rip their balls off.

Not the best thing to read at work while you drink a coke!! Yikes. I couldn't even tell my coworkers why I was laughing so hard I was crying.

I've driven by it a number of times to visit my family in Philly. I've always been intrigued by the mix of store types. But intimidated by the size.

And then when we drove down to the Philly AN show, Emma and I stopped in because we had to pee and there aren't any rest areas between CT and Doylestown. We only got about 100 yards inside. And it scared us.

We might attempt a more thorough invasion someday.
