"'There's no poetry between us,' said the paper to the pen"

Finding my glasses has always been a helpful reminder of two things. The first is that I cant see a damned thing without them. The second is that i cant find anything in my room. An exageration, surely. But it seems that everytime I cant find my glasses (they arent on my bureau or desk or shelf or chair or in the bathroom!) it is because for some ( Read more... )

Not really. I just like titles.

I suppose you're realizing that change happens.. kind of like "shit happens" except not as pessimistic. We lose some things as we gain others. I guess we can try to hold onto some of the past. Only some of it.

Much love,
Brian.

hey doll -

You like driving at night because you have a miata - trust me, its not as fun without a convertible. I would say we should def. hang out, but im not at home - obvoiusly, but you are in my thoughts, and if you ever want to walk around europe sometime (not next summer) then you should consider me as a well travelled companion.

I think you could be a great writer, by the way, you are easy to read with some beautiful passages.

PS i know how you feel - it does get annoying when you seem to be the only one making arrangements.

I know exactly what you mean. My friends and make half-ass attempts to hang out and it either comes to nothing or it's cut very short by half my friends "going out". We've become lazy, we are spoiled by the easy steps down the hall to a good talk. Or the IM to someone because we're almost always near our computers because living space is 20'x20'. We are spoiled and no one tries much. It's too much effort to relate when we're not within 2 blocks of each other. It's sad, but I guess this is what happens. We're growing up. And you are an amazingly good writer. I'm jealous of your ability to express your thoughts and feelings through metaphors and without saying "This is all probably really confusing to you but I hope you get some of what I'm saying," the way I do.

Home sucks, school rocks, this is why I'm not coming home next summer unless circumstances differ. My parents warned me this would happen but we have all grown apart and gone our separate way despite our best efforts. A new chapter on our lives have opened, I plan on enjoying my new chapter...

anyway on a less philosophical/preachy line: i'm at the shore, Great Bay, tomorrow through monday....is it this week you're at the shore? B/c if it is, you should make it to Nemetz's beach house....festivities!

Or just show up at Atlantic City around Ceasar's Palace at 4 or 6 and get on TV , CBS is doing Orr at the Shore from there, I'll prob. be there.
