HELP!

Can anyone tell me why when I cut and paste a WORD document into the posting here it loses all it's formatting and I have to go back in and re-space and re-indent every line???? Is there something I should or should not be doing?? It's so time consuming and annoying!

Do you have the HTML tab clicked on the right of the screen instead of rich text? You shouldn't have to reformat when just cutting and pasting, hmm.

I'd say try copy and pasting the Word doc to WordPad or Text Edit and then try copying it from there to put it here and see if it loses formatting.

If you have smart quotes (the curly ones) turned on, it
won't format correctly. Have you turned those off?

Not sure about the indenting, but as far as the line spacing is concerned, if you've just used the 'enter' key to put the line spaces in your Word doc, then they tend to get lost in when you cut and paste. You need to use 'shift enter' twice to create the line space.

If that is the issue, you can do a find and replace in word.

You hit find, enter "<""p"">" |(ignoring the quotation marks, of course). Then go to the replace cell and enter "<""l"">" twice.

Then you just do a find and replace on the doc and it should paste into LJ okay.

Thanks for that. It keeps happening here and on typepad.
