My last day

Today's my last day at work. It's a sad day, for many reasons. I've been here 13 years, and I'm going to miss a lot of people. My boss, the slightly-OCD germophobe, even offered to give me a hug yesterday. It's a big step, but it sounds like it's a good one. And your leaving means one less person who has to be let go.

Nice that you'll be staying in touch with your old coworkers. I hope the new job works out well, and that you develop new friendships just as solid as the old.

If I had stayed, I wouldn't be on the chopping block. I never dealt with the affected queues, other than to put documentation together. My job had evolved to a non-phone role, and in the heirarchy they once drew up, I was on a supervisor level. The person taking over my job was in a non-affected queue, and I don't know that he'll be doing it full time as I was. Goodness knows I spent weeks at a time trying to find stuff to do.
