To me Janie is the type of person who does what she wants to do.She is a good person to me but has some issues. For example when she first met Joe she was married. She felt like she could trust him and she really liked him. He listened to her and she was really atracted to him. She already did not want to be married to Logon so she just up and left with joe and did not look back.

I think that this statement is absolutely correct because Janie is kind of a unique person and she feels she can do whatever she wants when she wants and however she wants.

I think that Janie accomplished many things in her life and half of them were with Teacake. Janie was married at a very young age so she had to grow up really fast, her husbands before Teacake didn't treat her like the Queen that she should have been treated like. When she married Teacake she thought her had stole her money and left her to rot all by herself but he eventually made her money back and some to have on extra. Teacake showed Janie a lot of things like her taught her how to shoot and she learned how to shoot better than him and he tried to give her everything she ever wanted and he never made her feel unloved. Janie is a person who likes to experience different things in life, she is not going to stay in the same place for too long. That's why I believe why she married so many times but she finally found her soul mate.

I believe that what Lorraine said is true. But I believe that Teackae taught her without actulaly teaching her. He basically just let her learn thing on her own. Her grandmother and her other husbands always told her what to do so she never really learned anything because you never leanr anything unless you experienced it. Teacake allowed her to learn from her own mistakes and in that sense he taught her a lot.

I believe Janie's chief accomplishment in this story was learning to do things for herself. In the beginning she was more depended on other people such as her grandfather and her first two husbands. So after living wiht these people she kind of became accustom to not doing things for herself and i believe that it made her unhappy. This all changed once she started living with Teacake. Once she started living with Teacake he began to treat her like an equal and started to let her do things on her own. SO she started to work in the fields and shoot game and do things that she wanted to do. She was no longer constricted by her husband or her grandmother and i believe she began to feel liberated.I think that is the most important thing for anybody including Janie because you have to know that you are able to do things on your own and that you don't have to depend on other people. TO me this is one of the most important lessons that Janie learned.

The main chief accomplishment of Janie's life was that she became a real woman. She went through so many losses and struggles trying to find herself and trying to find out the reality of life. After experiencing being put down and passed around, she became a strong woman. She learned how to live life on her own without it already being planned out. After the death of Joe and meeting Tea Cake, Janie was able to do what she wanted to do. When Tea Cake taught her how to play chest and how to fish, it made her see that she should be allowed to do what she wants. She was grown and she should have been able to climb a tree if she wanted. Janie is beautiful, now. She's able to show her hair. She's able to wear all the colors in the rainbow, if she wanted. Now, she just free.
