when tea cake passed away i think it flip everybody out.he was a political leader, friend, and a huge figure in the town.he really effected janie because that was his wife and best friend.and as for the rest of the town they were lost as in what direction to go in without him.he made their town a market place and it became more up to date so that had an effect on the town.

Everyone was saddned and surprised by Tea Cake's death, but for Janie it was worst of all because she was his wife and loved him more fiercely than anyone else, and the fact that it was her that killed him in the end was especially traumatic. She lost the first and the only man that she truly loved but all in all she handled it pretty well for somebody who murdered her husband and was put on trial for her life in the same day. The brunt of the sadness seemed to seep out of her while she was on trial as she came to terms with what she had to do, she loved him but allowing him to kill her in the name of love is to me, one of the most basest forms of evil. No matter who it is, you have a right to your life and the right to protect it, and Janie understood that.

I also believe what Jabari said about Janie suffered the most from Teacake's death. He was her first and only true love. And the fact that people would put Janie on trial must have made her feel worst.

When Tea Cake died everyone of his friends thought that he had been murdered and that Janie had done it on purpose and they were mad at her for it and wanted to convict her but the white people didn't care about him dying and found her innocent. But when Janie showed how much she cared by giving him a good funeral and seeing how she felt all of Tea Cakes friends forgave her. But at the end of the story Janie went up to her bedroom and she could still feel Tea Cake's presence and she felt comforted and all the grief went away. She did what she had to do because he would of killed her but she loved him a lot and i don't think that she should be penalized for that.

I think Brittany was exactly right about Teacake. Teacake meant everything to Janie. I think it hurt Janie even more because she had to kill the only man she had loved with all her heart. I don't understand why his friends thought that she would kill Teacake. Janie loved him so much and she proved it when she gave him a lovely funeral.

I think that Janie felt really bad that she had to kill Teacake. All of Teacake's friends were mad at Janie. They were because they thought she had just killed Teacake for no reason. The white people really didn't care about Teacake's death. When Janie was found innocent she gave Teacake a really nice funeral. At the funeral all of Teacake's friends forgave Janie. When Janie went back to the house she could still feel his presence. When Teacake died Janie lost a best friend and a husband. Teacake was a very nice person to Janie and everyone who surrounded him he also didn't take anything off of people. Janie lost someone to talk to, someone to love and hold but I think she will pull through.

Everybody loved Tea Cake, so when he died it came as an unexpected event. They lost a friend and a brother. Janie lost the only man in her life that she loved and the only man in her life that loved her back. He showed her how to live and how to enjoy her life. He gave her his word to love and to cherish her till death they part and he did just that. He took care of her the best way that he could. He made her feel like she was an equal.Tea Cake appreciated her thoughts and feelings. He just her to be happy and he wanted her happiness to be with him. The evidence of his love for her is the simple fact that he gave his life for her.
