What I did this weekend

Apr 16, 2006 23:30

I awoke Friday morning to find myself in the summer house of love with Dave, Ryan and Bev. It was the morning after the night before, The Gentlemans party.

After going to the tiolet in the garden I returned to the summer house to find Dave and Ryan had woke up. We talked for a bit and then for some reason to start playing 'Deal or no deal' with playing cards. It was actually quite fun pretending to be the banker and Noel.

3 hours later, we left the summer house, me and Dave walked home.

Went to community Footy in the afternoon, which was lovely (the weather)

Later that evening I got mother to give me a lift back to Essex and I went to bed, in my quiet lonely uni room.

I awoke at 6am on Saturday with a start as I was getting phonecalls from lewis to get up and my mum. Lewis picked up me, lisa and Rosie at 6:30am and we left for Telford (near Birmingham) for the University Cheerleading Nationals. The 4 hour drive took about 2 and a half due to Lewis's very fast driving powered by Madonna.

We arrived at 9:30am and the competition had only just started. Our team wasn't on till 1pm so we watched lots of cheerleading, chatted up some cheerleaders (in my case), went to the bar and smoked large amounts of herbal cigarettes.

After the Cheer competeion was over it was time for dance, our squad was on at 4pm.

'Bob' the chairman and founder of the BCA (British Cheerleading Association) then stepped up to do the awards. Bob was quite funny over most of the weekend as he did all the annoucing for the cheerleading and was rather overweight in a suit, with his shirt untucked saying things over the mike like "That was the Southampton Vixens, wern't they lovely, if only I was younger". Dirty old git.

Anyway we placed:

Senior Cheer Open: 2nd
Senior Dance Medium Open: 2nd (we were robbed)

That night all the cheerleaders stayed in but me, Lewis, Lisa and Rosie desided we wanted to go out in Brimingham. We got a lift into the centre of the city, the bar area is really nice and theres a good atmostphere. We got rather drunk and got a cab back to the travel lodge. We were a bit short of money by this point so we told the cabbie (some nonce anyway) to drop us off a little way from the travel logde and when he stopped we legged it without paying. I shot off and left the others as they were slow and was back in the room in no time. They got back and Lewis had fallen over on the pavement and grazed the left side of his face, which was very funny at the time. We were soon in bed and going off to sleep.

The next day consisted of basically the same thing with a few extra teams as it was the Midlands Cheerleading Competetion.

We placed:

Senior Cheer Open: 1st
Senior Dance Medium Open: 1st

Then we drove back to Essex and here I am now.

Twas a good weekend all round with great success for our cheerleaders.

xx
