painting the kitchen

Zach is coming to lay tile in my kitchen this weekend, so I'm trying to get it painted before he gets here.  I taped off on Sunday, and it took seemingly forever.  With all the cabinets and countertops and whatnot there's just a lot of things to tape around and it took something like 4+ hours when it was all said and done.  At that point, I just ( Read more... )

I can now rest easy after this post.

Also, I love ambiance in rooms and it looks like the orange really did a great job in that department. I'm sure it feels refreshing to have a different color in that room.

"builder white" is so blah, so yes...it's definitely nice to have some color in there. It definitely gives the room some personality.

It's a soft yellow with a hint of orange. It's called "lazy sun." (BTW, the orange is called "orange cream.") But it's ok if it inspires violence. I look forward to violently attacking my dinner in there soon! :)

Wow! It looks quite nice! At first I thought you painted it the same color of my place! Then I realized you've never been to my new place, but my living room is painted in an Ale color. Literally thats the color, just a little bit more brown in it compared to your lazy sun color.

The color in those pictures is the orange cream. The lazy sun is a lighter color for the breakfast nook, but I haven't done that yet...hopefully tonight!
