Ever since the stomach virus incident from a few weeks ago, I've been watching my blood sugar like a hawk. I've actually been a little on the psycho side where that's concerned.
I'm glad you reminded me about the bonfire...I'd actually forgotten about it.
Isn't the phrase 'micro-aneurysm' the craziest thing you've ever heard? I've tried looking it up online and can find absolutely nothing about it at all. I'm wondering if he's talking about a macular edema?
He didn't specify the location of the MA, but from some of the comments he made, I'm under the assumption that it's elsewhere. He did mention that my retina was clear.
Well, the blood vessels in the eye tend to be really tiny, so my impression is that he was trying to paint a picture more than offer a true diagnostic term. A bulge in a small vessel can certainly happen.
Persistently high glucose levels, elevated blood pressure, and then there's the cortisol and adrenalin release that comes with stress and anxiety, all of which seem to persist in your life.
Perhaps this condition is a wake-up call to start working harder on some of the things that keep pounding on your body, sweetie. *hugs*
You're absolutely right about this being a wake-up call. I've taken some major strides in the last three weeks or so, but I've got no idea what I'm going to do about the stress and anxiety that are my ever-constant companions.
