I completely understand where you're coming from about the rough and itchy fabric thing. I specifically chose a really soft, light yarn so that it wouldn't have that problem because it's something I'm really conscious of.

I'll try and get a snapshot of the scarf this evening or early tomorrow and upload it so you can see the progress I've made so far. It's actually almost done, but it worked up so quickly that I could probably knit another one in more specific colors in no time...and I'm a knitting novice. :)

I'm glad you think it's a good gift idea. I've really been doubting whether or not to give it. I'll try and remember to take a picture and see what you think. Remember that I'm a novice, now...this is done with just the knit stitch, but with size 11 needles and some really thick yarn. I'm gonna make myself one - in a masculine color, of course. LOL!

If I were a woman, I'd love a knitted scarf. Even better, I'd love for you to teach me how to knit.

I'd love to teach you how to knit, but I'm not really very good at it. I'm still learning, but I'm having fun with it.
