Just another day in paradise

This weekend saw the onslaught of "Pride" events on Mobile, Alabama. My friend Bryan is on the board of directors for the local Pride organization and so he was responsible for planning and overseeing many of the events. when I learned that you dont have to fit in and place yourself in whatever little category that "they" think you should belong to, I was a lot happier.

once I realized that I dont have to fit the stereotypes that are out there, I was free to be myself.

Gay to me means I choose to have same sex long term relationships.

it doesnt mean I have to go to Pride or bars or whatever nifty thing "they" are doing.

dont follow the herd and you may find others like you out there.

you'd be surprised - there are more and more gay people who are asking the question "um, why do we act like we are part of the circus???"

It isn't just about people who are gay who are trying to fit in. I think we all kinda feel the same way.

I'm sorry I missed wishing you a Happy Birthday, but Happy Belated Birthday!

The Bay Bears have already started playing? It seems I heard something on the radio today about some kind of dog show or something there over the weekend. Did you see that?

It's interesting that you should make that point...I suppose that's the reality of the situation, huh? We all struggle to fit in in our own way. I guess I just seem to overlook the fact that everyone else deals with esame thing. :)

Thanks for the Birthday wishes. :)

The Bay Bears did have some kind of thing going on with the SPCA or something. There were loads of dogs outside the park but only about seven or eight inside. They had their portable spay/neuter truck out there and were performing operations...THAT was weird. LOL! It was a really great game and we won so I was thrilled.
