There was an initial knee-jerk outcry about the arrest, but there appears to have been a lot of backpedaling. I imagine the woman mainly just doesn't wanted it all dredged up again. Who can blame her?

God knows what motivates the LA DA to do anything, but they waste time and money on lots of things so I'm really not sweating this. Polanski forced their hand. He went into an extradition zone. Polanski for the lose.
