i was a big fan of Shaun of the Dead, but thats not really a horror movie. i'd categorize it as comedy, but there were zombies so i find it worth mentioning.

i think you could get away with the shirt because you're black. I'd be shot on the spot.

Only because it is completely racially based. Affirmative Action would be much more practical if the criteria were household income, or school district performance on standardized tests. People who score lower on standardized tests do so because they can't afford to prepare for them like some rich kid does with seminars and practice tests. It's not cause they're Black it's cause they are poor and their teachers suck, and those people do deserve help.

but isnt that really what racial profiling is all about? the big picture is that it has nothing to do with the colour but the way they grow up. i agree that b/c minorities tend to have crappier school systems and supplies and less chances after high school that they should have a little more of a boost in the working world but affirmative action has become something else. the point of affirmative action when it was created was for employers to actually make the effort to find minority employees who are qualified for the job...but now its become a "quota" thing. they have to find minorities to work no matter if they are right for the job or not b/c they have to have a certain amount. my professor said that if you have a black man and a white man and the black is slightly less qualified the black man should get it b/c white men "have always had it easy". what you said i think blows that out of the water. arent there white kids who arent rich and who go to terrible schools? what makes their lives better then the minority? A.A was ( ... )
