herePersonality:
Azusa Miura is an easygoing woman who prefers taking things at her own pace...unfortunately, that pace is definitely so long. She despises being rushed or being forced into something she doesn’t want to do, and at times she even comes across as ditzy or air-headed. Even her hobbies reflect her personality. She prefers café hopping and dog walking and strolling in the park as opposed to much busier activities. She can be quiet and keep to herself, but she does have many close friends she loves talking to. As someone who lives at home with just her parents, it’s difficult to not get along with her in some way or capacity. Another idol in her company, Chihaya, rarely gets along with anyone...but she’s always fond of Azusa.
While she appears this way to most, though, Azusa does have a much more focused side. She works hard at becoming an idol. Frequently in the anime, she’s seen at dance training and vocal training, and her hard work pays off in the form of becoming a part of an idol trio (Ryuguu Komachi). She also works hard to keep her body in shape for her own personal reasons...she doesn’t want to slouch off on staying healthy. Her reason for keeping in shape?
She became an idol to meet her special someone.
Azusa is a hopeless romantic. Not only does she believe in true love, but she believes in fortune-telling as well. It doesn’t matter if it’s from incense sticks or a magazine or superstition--Azusa will believe it. In the anime, she’s told that for wearing a wedding dress before her wedding that it’ll take longer for her to find her husband. She’s momentarily devastated, though later daydreams about what her wedding will actually be like.
She’s also really good with kids and domestic activities, and her gentle and easygoing pace tends to earn her stares wherever she goes. Unfortunately, she’s a bit oblivious, and she’s even worse with directions. One time, she even ended up in the wrong province because of a train. Yet, when people need her help, she’ll help them, even if it means being late to her job or photo shoot. Part of this problem just comes from the fact that she can’t say no, however.
There are times, though, where Azusa isn’t as relaxed as she usually seems. Many of her decisions are impulsive (she decided to become an idol after dropping out of college on a whim), and she loves to kick back and enjoy a drink with friends. She’ll even hit on her boss while she’s doing it, all in good fun. She has a mischievous personality, even if it gets her in trouble, such as suggesting that Hamuzou, another idol’s hamster, be kept in a hotel’s valuable’s safe or texting a friend of her wearing a wedding dress for a photo shoot with a message saying she was married. She just loves having fun, and being an idol is a way to do that with her friends...and to eventually meet her special someone.
Despite all of the innocence and fun, though? Azusa is known to have a mean streak in the right occasion. If anyone badmouths her producer, it doesn’t matter who it is, she’ll correct them and admits to hating people who do that. She also knows how to joint lock someone, judo style...though where she learned that is a mystery. She detests people who touch her inappropriately, because she works hard to maintain her body. Unfortunately, most of her plans to stick to a diet fail...she even goes so far as to eat eleven puddings on a binge without even realizing the horror of what she had just done.
All-in-all, Azusa is a moodsetter. She’s easily placed into any conversation, whether it be with the elderly or children. She’s relaxed and easygoing as long as she isn’t pushed...just for the love of everything, never ask her to meet you somewhere. She’ll never get there if you don’t guide her!
Strengths:
Physical: Azusa is a talented dancer and is much stronger than she looks. She has some skill in judo, can outrun an entire mob, and has incredible stamina. Being an idol is hard work, after all! She’s also at the beginning of her acting career.
Mental: She’s very relaxed, but she’s very focused. It takes a lot to rattle her at times, and she’s very good at keeping charge of a situation even if it doesn’t look like it at times. She’s also a dedicated student--like all of the idols at 765 pro, she spends time studying and can pick up complicated routines and lyrics in short amounts of time. She’s even started acting and appearing in radio chats...she’s capable of handling a hectic schedule! She’s even good at pulling pranks every so often.
Emotional: Azusa is very rarely angry, and she’s very optimistic. Just as it takes a lot to ruin her concentration, it takes one of her triggers or pretty much something horrible to make her angry. She always sticks to her beliefs, and never gives up when she wants to accomplish something.
Weaknesses:
Physical: Despite all of her hard work and occasional moments of being a superhuman, Azusa has difficulty keeping up with others at times. She can definitely hold her own in both dancing and singing, but she’s not an A+ idol in either. Aside from her training and random knowledge of judo, she’s also practically defenseless. People are very capable of sneaking up on her or hurting her.
Mental and Emotional: Azusa doesn’t have the best of focus when it comes to food. While breaking a diet is normal, she went so far as to eat twelve celeb puddings...and couldn’t stop herself. Her slow-pace can be irritating to others, especially her mother, who thinks she’s never going to leave the house. As mentioned earlier, she’s also a hopeless romantic...she believes in things that most grown women have given up on a long while ago. Out of all of the of-age characters in the anime, Azusa is shown to be the one who drinks the most as well, to the point where she doesn’t realize what she’s talking about...but at least she’s cheerful about it!

First Person:
I’m really sorry about this, but can someone tell me where I’m supposed to find the grocery store again?
[There’s leaves rustling in the background. She’s very clearly in the middle of the forest.]
My, my...I think I’m lost again. I could have sworn it was around here...
[She looks around her in each direction.]
Let’s see...I have to be close, right? ...Maybe that’s not the case. I’ve been there before, but I don’t recognize any of this. Oh, dear...[She sighs.] There’s nothing dangerous out here, right? I’m sure I’ll find it eventually. I’ve been walking for almost two hours, so it must be just around here. This place is just so big, and parts all look the same don’t they?
[She’s smiling, at least, but she’s a little unsure.]
I’m really lost, aren’t I?
Third Person:
Azusa adjust the scarf around her neck. The cold was absolutely awful. It stung her eyes whenever she looked into the wind, but she had needed to get groceries. She hadn’t expected the snow to pile up so quickly...she just wasn’t used to it! It was so beautiful, but she still had to make it home with the groceries. Luckily, it was a path she had taken many times before. She had finally managed to memorize her way to and from the stores...but everything now looked so different.
Taking a moment to watch her breath in front of her, she regarded the landscape with a bit of awe. The trees, the houses...it was like a Christmas village, the kind she had seen on cards. She had never received a card herself, but it was beautiful nonetheless. Having spent an entire season in Luceti already, she was growing used to her life there...and while part of that was frightening, she was at least having a good time.
“Let’s see...we’re almost there. Then you can relax.”
With a soft smile, she fought off the harsh cold by thinking of her warm apartment, the cup of coffee she would make...or even something sweet, like hot chocolate! The possibilities were really endless. Now that she was living alone, taking care of the house was a bit of a chore, but she could have the occasionally indulgence without having to worry about prying eyes.
Even for the ever directionally-challenged Azusa Miura, the apartment building was impossible to miss. What she almost missed, though, was the huddling figure in front of it, frantically searching in the snow for something. It didn’t take the idol long to move over and stand behind the girl, watching her.
“You’re going to catch a cold like that, you know...can I help?”
Hot chocolate could always wait, right?
