Mmm the Iron Man fandom ate my brain after I saw the movie but there was (and still isn't) really that much too it. So I found myself in Avengers fandom cribbing notes on the seemingly hopelessly contradicting canon to get my Stark fix. And then I fell hard for the fandom, such good fic! (Even if it isn't a very big fandom T_T) So today my link ( Read more... )

That's cause you have to wait ten million years before anyone writes anything in a fandom! Tell Edgar I still have back bruises from that frikkin chair (he'll tell you about it, the one in Chadstone) Caio, Claire

Fandoms for movies tend to be fairly quick actually. It might be because the canon is so brief.

I heard about the chair of doom, it certainly looks scary enough. Any chair that contains enough doo-dads to run a space mission is generally off my list of safe places to sit.

(Claire! _You're_ aleph_abyssal!?! Dude The World's Translated Thus is totally cult over on /cm/! When there's a new chapter we take a break from pretty robots to fan girl over it. ^^)

You'd think there would be more Ironman, with a comic and all. I was just remembering that it took a good year for all the House fics to pick up (i mean you'll *get* them, but it'll be like the worst FF.net pit Of Voles crap until someone sits down and has a good think and a write ( ... )

Iron Man just seemed to have slipped under the fandom radar until the movie. The Steve/Tony crowd seem to be all that was going and even as far as Iron Man!Movieverse goes they're still the only ones going. ('cept for the fics where Pepper is actually Shia LeBoush and awkward slash ensues)

(Oooo that sounds like some high grade awesome there. Rupturing the internet with nothing but the sheer cool of fic sounds worryingly possible. It best be kept for higher minds to comprehend)

Some people write for ages and then one thing catapults them up to the ranks of BNF. Considering I can mention "Abyssal" in most corners of TF fandom and people know who I'm taking about I'd say you're there. Hows the view from the top?
I'll await with baited breath! The whole plot has kept me all seat edgey for the last few weeks. ^^
