My computer Meredeth has fallen over with a computer flu. This means that I'll be unreliably offline for some unknown amount of time.

Watching something random on TV but it looks like they know what they’re talking about so I thought I’d pass this bit along.
Apparently Burke, of Burke and Wills, before he became an explorer was a policeman in Beachworth known for getting lost on his way home from the pub. In terms of the exploring it would seem he looked the part and that’s all that mattered in rural Victoria at the time. Talk about foreshadowing.
