I like the way you framed this. I think that taking the red pill is more about perceptions than about where you end up. You can take the pill and stay within a system--it is possible--but I also think it needs to be a system that will be at least somewhat responsive to you. A rigid, calcified system that sees you as expendable and is utterly indifferent to any change you try to make--well, you might as well not be there at all and it is probably distorting your ability to express your truth. But a system where you can negotiate and move, a more flexible system, can hold the structure for those within it while the old dissipates and the new comes in.
