im not a poet, just emotional.

Mom says I must work harder.
Dad says one mile just won't do.
He says he sets his standards higher.
What he means is higher than you.
And I try to change, try to be better.
But I'll never be good enough for you.

I can't believe i actually got to the point where i wrote a poem.

Oh Bridgey- poetry can be wonderful.
I'm sorry if things seem tough,
but sometimes the world just isn't an easy place to live.
