If you want to move to Melbourne in the next week or so, and don't mind living with Troy and Liz (they are nice, but can be a little touchy-feely), I totally know a place for you. Nice room with built in 'robes, in a pretty nifty house with a huge bathroom and a lot of formica. Close to the mysteriously popular Lygon and Brunswick streets!
