jealousy, you are your own ultimate self-destructive indulgence

[Parsee would never admit it, but the bitter taste in her mouth was the fault of the spiders.

The vicious, venomous spiders inside the turkey. Scuttling, hideous. Yet she didn't- couldn't trample them. It was almost ridiculously laughable if one thought about it; even with her sharp tongue and hateful diatribe, she was somehow just a bit too soft ( Read more... )

lol green eyes, but most of all i hate myself, #player plot, #outdoors, i hate you and you and you, so very hideous, forever alone, who needs friends, paruparuparu, paru beeeeeam

[Klaus is... well okay, he really shouldn't be doing this, but he's doing his best to discreetly practice with the shoulder-mounted gun that Dist made for him. In the park. And okay there is no way to make this discreet at all.]

[My, what is he doing? Parsee's wondering this from her hiding place behind a tree but, well, it's not like it matters. All that does is the envy burning within Parsee's chest as she watches.....and the same feeling inside Klaus's own heart right now, sparked into furious life in the blink of an eye.

How will you grapple with this sudden jealousy, Klaus? What does it make you think of?]

Wow tl;dr up in this comment myblimpisbigger November 29 2010, 18:09:39 UTC
[Dist.

Blam! Down goes a tree.

Dist can just prance around Mayfield with his perfect intact Spark (so it isn't a Spark. It's close enough. Far too close for Klaus's liking), making people guns.

Blam! The treetrunk is splintered into teeny little pieces.

Dist can make people guns, working machinery, and Klaus couldn't even fix a slightly-damaged clank that he himself invented. Now how is that fair? Dist is a whiny, self-serving, pompous little aristo. Klaus could squish him into jelly with one hand!

Blam! The teeny little pieces become teenier.

And Klaus isn't going to put up with this. He's going to go find Dist and show him what this blasted gun is good for. He managed to make some improvements.

Dist probably won't like them.]

[It's a little bit hard to miss the sound of someone practicing with a grenade launcher. He tracks down the sound easily, and grins a bit when he sees where it's coming from.]

Isn't it gorgeous?

[Tralalala just walking down the street with his usual calm smile. Hasn't noticed anything unusual yet . . .]

[She glares out from the shadows of her house to follow Joshua, almost wanting to scream out her envy but only managing a low growl. Look at him, so calm, so confident!

Parsee bites her lip to keep her power in; she wants to watch him a little longer.]

[Don't forget pretty. He tilts his head a little - did someone just growl? - but doesn't falter in his steps. His awareness's spiked, but he's confident enough that he can handle any attack, even one from behind.]

[It fills her with such a selfish, petty rage to look at him- what does he have to be jealous of? He seems so perfect.

And she hates it. Like a child, she kicks a stone in his direction.]

[Mayfield's shadows, it would seem, are refuge to an assortment of monsters tonight. Slugger has had his eye on Parsee for quite some time and though he's never targeted a demon before, she is close enough to being human as he needs her to be.

Careful not to make his presence known, he crosses into the backyard of the neighboring house before slipping soundlessly into the walls of the house itself. If Parsee is at home, he will find her there. If she isn't, he will wait for her to return.]

[ooc] For the sake of ic chronology, whatever happens in this thread will occur last. Note, it is perfectly fine to post after this thread.

[She'll slink back home later, satisfied at the trouble she's now reaped upon her own head- trouble she knows she'll pay for later. Unaware that there's anyone inside the house who isn't a drone, Parsee jiggles the doorknob and enters.]

[Upon entering the house, Parsee is met only with darkness, as though every light bulb in the house has long since cooled. And silence. None of the resident drones are awake to greet her, possibly not even alive to hear her. (Hey, it's been a while since he's used his bat. Bashing in their faces was good practice...)

But the darkness is not void of a presence. Something is there watching her, something that grins to itself unseen.]

[She doesn't seem to care much about the darkness- she doesn't even try to turn on the lights. And since she expects the drones to all be asleep, like the good little citizens that they are (oh, she could just puke), she thinks nothing of the quiet. Parsee won't sense this new (and yet not so new) intruder as she makes her way through the living room, heading for her bedroom. She's more than a little drained, not half as aware as she should be.]
